Enroll

New families need to provide:

• Proof of Residency (only gas, water, electric bill or lease/rental agreement will be accepted) -OR- Residency Affidavit Form
• Childcare Affidavit Form (only if applicable)
• Birth certificate
• Immunization records *Your student's start date may be delayed if immunizations records are not on file
• Unofficial transcripts (9-12 grade students)

If your child is a returning student, you do not need to bring a copy of their birth certificate. If you are enrolling your child for the first time, you will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate.

If your child is a returning student, you do not need to bring a copy of their immunization records unless it has changed or been updated. If you are enrolling your child for the first time, please bring a copy of their immunization records.

If your child is exempt from immunizations, a completed exemption form from the Department of Health and Senior Services must be presented instead of immunization records during enrollment.

The Attendance Zone Locator Map will provide families the opportunity to verify elementary attendance zones for their children. There are directions on the site to assist you in using the map. Please contact Student Services with questions regarding the attendance zones.

Students who have been accepted at Wilckens STEAM Academy at Hillcrest come from every zone in the district, so it is not reflected on this map.

Proof of residency is required for all student enrollments. The only acceptable proof is a water, gas or electric bill in the parent/guardian name with the current address listed on the bill, and dated within 30 days prior to enrollment. We do not accept cable bills, insurance statements, tax receipts, shut-off notices, etc. as proof of residency. 

If a parent/guardian does not have a utility bill with their name on it, they may provide a rental/ lease agreement signed by all parties. An Affidavit of Residency will need to be filled out, signed by all parties and notarized for those who are residing with a Belton resident. Full Legal Guardianship is required for any student under the age of 18 not living with their parent or legal guardian.

All enrollment can be completed online. To enroll an incoming kindergarteners (or any other student who has never attended Belton schools), just contact Student Services at studentservices@bsd124.org or by calling 816-489-7000 and they can help you. In-person enrollment appointments are available upon request, though not required.

Program space at Grace is limited. Please contact Students Services by emailing studentservices@bsd124.org or calling 816-489-7000 for more information.

If you need to enroll mid-year, please call 816-489-7000 or email Student Services to set up your PowerSchool account or schedule an enrollment appointment at Central Office, 110 W Walnut, Belton, Missouri.

A residency affidavit is a form that must be completed if you are unable to produce proof of residency in your name (e.g. you live with a resident who has all valid forms of proof of residency in their name and nothing is in your name). The affidavit form must be notarized.

A childcare affidavit is a form a family can complete to request that their child attend a school that is outside of their attendance area because they utilize private childcare near that school. This is only available for families who live within Belton School District #124 boundaries. The affidavit form must be notarized.

You can get affidavits notarized at your local bank or UPS, or you can also schedule a notary appointment at Central Office by calling 816-489-7000.

To find enrollment forms, log in to the app, click the "Menu" button, select "Forms" and then click the form you wish to complete.

Please note: you must complete the enrollment form for each student. Change between students by selecting the white circle with their initials in the top-right corner of the screen.
